Hollywood Vampires, a supergroup formed in 2015 by Alice Cooper, Joe Perry (Aerosmith) and Johnny Depp, brought their gritty rock n’ roll show to San Francisco. The Warfied was their third stop on a seven-show run before their album Rise releases on June 21st.
The band seemed in good spirits, ripping their way through original tunes as well as covers of songs by The Doors, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Who, David Bowie, and of course a couple of Cooper’s own tunes. Joe Perry commanded on guitar, and it was great to see him back after taking time off at the end of 2018. Johnny Depp, while on guitar and backing vocals, worked the first few rows of the crowd throughout the night, and Alice Cooper strutted the stage as the experienced frontman he has always been known for.
