Pop rocker Huey Lewis has announced the cancellation of all future show dates due to hearing issues, which he attributes to Meniere’s Disease. According to Lewis, the diagnosis happened a couple of months ago, coming on suddenly just before the band’s Dallas tour date. According to Lewis:

“Although I can still hear a little, one on one, and on the phone, I can’t hear music well enough to sing… The lower frequencies distort violently, making it impossible to find pitch.”

The cause of his Meniere’s Disease is unknown, but affects of the disease are often known to subside in time, and Huey Lewis is optimistic that he will be back in action eventually.

“I’m going to concentrate on getting better, and hope that one day soon I’ll be able to perform again.”
