UK metal legends Judas Priest brought their Firepower to San Francisco with a blazing set of both older and newer material on display for the Warfield’s sold-out audience. The band is currently supporting their 18th studio album Firewpower, which was released in March.
The current tour is an adjustment, as legendary guitar player Glenn Tipton announced that he would not be joining Judas Priest on tour this time due to complications with Parkinson’s disease. Firepower producer Andy Sneap has been taking over Tipton’s duties on this run, although Tipton did in fact surprise the audience when he came out to perform the entire encore of “Metal Gods”, “Breaking the Law” and “Living After Midnight”.
