Grammy and eight-time Latin Grammy-award-winning artist Rosalía kicked off her first ever global tour – MOTOMAMI WORLD TOUR – earlier this summer and, as fans of MOTOMAMI, we couldn’t wait for her stop in the Bay Area.
As expected, Rosalía dazzled a packed Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Clad in light-up helmets, she and her dancers strutted onto the stage to a cacophony of cheers and screams. Though the stage was nearly empty save for her and her crew, it was a visually stunning set replete with innovative dancing, spectacular vocals, and powerful music. The choreography certainly was a highlight as it treaded between classical and modern. Rosalía was the center of the action, of course. She confidently sashayed through the dancers addressing the crowd directly and through the mobile camera rig that popped up throughout the night.
For a few of the songs, the dancers also acted as cameramen and picked up small cameras and aimed them at the pop star. With so much camera work it was as if we were all witness to a 4K video of a dream in the making.
It was such an amazing night and we’re stoked to see what comes next for Rosalia!
