In quite the combo for one of this summer’s biggest rock tours, Deftones arrived at Concord Pavilion in Concord, CA with co-headliners Rise Against and supporter Thrice. Deftones took the headlining spot this time around, delivering an energetic, jumpy, screamy, crowd-high-fiving performance that still amazes audiences 20+ years into their career.

Highlights included the heavy opener “Head Up” from 1997’s Around the Fur, a hauntingly beautiful execution of “Sex Tape”, and Chino’s incredible screeching midway through “Knife Prty”.
