A fun little piece of Rock N’ Roll history popped up today from Dave Grohl (via the Foo Fighters’ Twitter account) in the form of a note which 14-year-old Grohl had sent to Ian Mackaye of Fugazi/Minor Threat. In the quick note, Grohl asks Mackaye to hook him up with phone numbers for people to “get in touch with”.
It’s funny to think that, after networking the way any young musician would, Dave Grohl would go on to be a part of one of the biggest bands in rock history, as well as eventually sell out Wembly Stadium with former members of Led Zeppelin as his special guests.
