Our Lady Peace to Release 8th Studio Album, “Curve” on April 3rd

Some good news for fans of Canadian rockers Our Lady Peace: new album titled Curve, new single, and older style sounds.

Our Lady Peace was one of the staples of Alternative Rock in the 1990’s, and rose to much larger levels in the 2000’s. However successful they may be, much of the original fan-base has been turned off from their “newer” sound (basically anything after 2002’s Gravity). The bright side for us in that boat? OLP recently took cues from the likes of Weezer and A Perfect Circle, and toured a couple of years ago to play two of their earlier records from front to back each night. Having to sift through their older material on Clumsy and Spiritual Machines, the band was forced to revisit themselves. In the words of singer Raine Maida, they were “brought back to the great things about this band.” He subsequently made a claim that fans will be hearing many of OLP’s older ideas “creeping its way back into our music” when Curve drops on April 3rd, 2012.
