In today’s “well that makes perfect sense” news, legendary ska band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones announced that they have signed to Hellcat Records. For nearly 40 years the band has gone through a lot and seen the industry change substantially. As a way to commemorate the journey the band is also releasing an 8 minute long track called “The Final Parade.”
The star studded track, dubbed the “Ska Summit” features such legendary artists like Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Aimee Interrupter & The Interrupters, Stranger Cole, Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Jake Burns (Stiff Little Fingers), Jay Navarro (Suicide Machines), Chris DeMakes, Pete Wesilewski, Roger Lima (Less Than Jake), Jimmy G (Murphy’s Law), and many more.
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are vocalist Dicky Barrett, bassist Joe Gittleman, saxophonists Tim “Johnny Vegas” Burton and Leon Silva, Bosstone Ben Carr, drummer Joe Sirois, guitarists Nate Albert and Lawrence Katz, keyboardist John Goetchius, and trombonist Chris Rhodes.
