With a short teaser and quick quote, Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl announces his new 23-minute solo instrumental project titled Play, which will be released on August 10th.

Play is one 23-minute song that sees Grohl play all seven different instruments.

“And even now, as a 49-year-old man, I’m still trying to figure it out… it’s not something that you ever truly master. You’re always chasing the next challenge, and you’re always trying to find a way to improve on what you’ve learned.”

Tune in to your favorite streaming service in August 10th, and ready your wallet for a limited edition vinyl on September 28th. There will also be an interactive experience that allows the user to view any instrument at any time throughout the performance, as well as have access to sheet music.
