In an effort to ease the struggle that many are currently experiencing as victims of the Napa/Sonoma California fires this month, Metallica will be headlining a benefit concert at AT&T park (home of the San Francisco Giants) alongside artists like Dave Matthews, Rancid, G-Eazy and more on November 9th.
A press release from Another Planet explains:
We’ve all been touched by the devastation of the North Bay firestorm — the most destructive and deadliest firestorm disaster in California history. The fires have burned an estimated 200,000 acres and 6,000 homes in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Lake Counties, displacing thousands of residents. Damage estimates are in the billions of dollars and rising, and the cleanup and recovery efforts will be the largest and costliest in California history.
We have joined a coalition of Bay Area business and community leaders to support the local relief and long-term recovery in the region. We are proud to announce this benefit concert — Band Together Bay Area — on Thursday, November 9 at AT&T Park featuring Metallica, Dave Matthews, G-Eazy + more to be announced soon. The concert will be fully underwritten by sponsors so that 100% of ticket sales will go to the relief fund. Additionally, the best seats in the house will be donated to first responders and families impacted by the firestorm.
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster HERE.
