Alice in Chains came through the San Francisco Bay Area to perform at The Masonic in Nob Hill, an were fantastic.

The hit-laden setlist also gave way to more recent songs from their current album God Put the Dinosaurs Here, which are some of the band’s strongest career offerings. The tones of guitarist Jerry Cantrell were picture perfect, as was William Duvall’s wailing voice and captivating stage presence.

Heavy were the hard-hitting tunes (“Hollow”, “Them Bones”) and beautiful were the more intricate tracks (“Nutshell” – dedicated to late former members Layne Staley and Mike Starr, “Down in a Hole”). The energy of the evening just further proved Alice in Chains has new life to them with their current lineup.
