It’s not music news, but it’s sure awesome. The Sci-Fi heavy-hitter X-Files is set to begin production this Summer on a brand new “six episode event” that be directed by X-Files alum Chris Carter.

And yes, after 13 years (and a lot of Californication) both Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (David Duchovny) will be back.

If you’re somehow unaware, X-Files was one of the biggest TV shows of the 1990’s and was one of the pioneer epic story-arc shows to gain mainstream popularity… paving the way for the likes of LOST. It is categorized as “science fiction horror drama”and generally revolves around the subjects of conspiracy or the paranormal. Or both.
