Iconic band Pixies announced a tour that will lead them through Europe and the US which began in Amsterdam this week. The band is planning on routing through Europe before hitting the states in January of 2014. The band is bringing with them some pretty impressive openers including Cults, FIDLAR, and Best Coast. 

Pixies recently released a 4 song EP called EP-1 which JC has been spinning weekly on his Monday night program theFIVE10 Radio. After the departure of longtime Bassist Kim Deal, the band feel like they have a new story to write. “If we’re going to keep touring like this, we need some kind of new story, a new life, something,” frontman Frank Black told The New York Times. The EPs will be released sometime during 2014 but no release dates have been announced.
