Culture Cry Wolf Premiere “Second Wind” Video ft. Sims of Doomtree

Culture Cry Wolf premiered the official video for “Second Wind” over at Baeble Music.  The track, which features Sims of Doomtree, is off of the band’s most recent release Día de los Muertos.  Botzy, emcee of Culture Cry Wolf, describes the song by saying, “Second Wind is almost entirely about resilience, and those who help us through our hardships. Negativity can be infectious, so it’s important to surround yourself with the best of company and always keep your head up.”  The video was directed by Adam J Dunn and can be seen here.

Culture Cry Wolf is a Minneapolis based band made up of Botzy (emcee), Mike Daly (vocals/guitar), Jaime Pelaez (auxiliary percussion), Druby Soho (Bass), Frankie Blydenburgh (drums), and Kyle Borchert (trumpet).  While most live-band hip-hop acts center on funk or jazz as their sonic roots, Culture Cry Wolf are all over the map, pulling in everything from cumbia to doo-wop to ska and punk.  Botzy’s raps and Mike Daly’s crooning keep the varied vibe centered, matching the raucous trumpet, guitars, and percussion with upbeat tales of drunken revelry and torrid love affairs.
