Red Hot Chili Peppers (sort of) confirmed that Josh Klinghoffer will replace the newly departed John Frusciante as their new Guitarist. The website stadium-arcadium.com is backing up a tweet that former Chili Guitarist Dave Navarro posted regarding the news.

“… Oh, and I’m NOT working with RHCP. They are working with an amazing talent, Josh Klinghoffer. I wish them love and the very best!” wrote Navarro (via @davenavarro6767 on Twitter).

No more information has been provided about the announcement and little is known about Klinghoffer other than he has been a studio and touring guitarists for artists and bands such as Beck, Gnarls Barkley, PJ Harvey, and has also played on one of the RHCP’s albums in the past.
