The Revivalists took their tour called, “The Pour It Out Into The Night Tour” and stopped by Portland for a night of good old-fashioned rock and roll. Along with openers The Heavy Heavy and co-headliners Band of Horses, the band took to Edgefield on an unseasonably warm early September night.

Band of Horses took the stage after The Heavy Heavy and played a mix of early hits and tracks from their 2022 album, “Things Are Great.” Lead singer Ben Bridwell had the crowd pumped up and ready for The Revivalists by the time they finished their (what seemed like a very short) set.

By the time The Revivalists took the stage, the sun had gone down, the wind had picked up, and the nearby sky was being filled with some summer lightning in the clouds. From the time lead singer David Shaw came strutting out with fellow band member Ed Williams and the rest of the band, he had the crowd excited. Starting the set with “Good Old Days” and mixing with new tracks from their newest album that bears the same name as the tour, the band closed out the night with familiar tunes such as “Wish I Knew You” and their new single, “Kid.”
