Southern California’s own Young the Giant along with German rockers Milky Chance and newcomer Rosa Linn brought their 2023 Summer Tour to the outskirts of Portland last week to Edgefield. As with all shows at Edgefield, the start time was early which meant the show was done promptly at 10pm.
Rosa Linn opened the show during which she let the crowd know, “You still don’t know me, but you will.” as she played her latest single “Snap.”
Milky Chance then played a one-hour set that included familiar tunes like “Colorado”, “Living in a Haze”, and a cover of Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love.” Lead singer Clemens Rehbein spent time between songs to engage with the crowd and definitely got them ready for Young the Giant.
Once Young the Giant took the stage the crowd was ready. The band took the stage after a brief video played then started their set with the title track from their 2022 album, “American Bollywood.” Led by Sameer Gadhia, Young the Giant spent the rest of their set playing through their more well-known tracks including some deep cuts from past albums.
