Beck and Phoenix brought their Summer Odyssey Tour to the Bay Area over the weekend and,
man, what a show! Beck’s funky grooves and Phoenix’s catchy pop-rock make the two acts the
perfect co-headliners. And with support from Sir Chloe and (THE) Jenny Lewis, it was truly a
magical evening.

Phoenix illuminated the stage with electrifying energy from the start of their set, leaving the
crowd in awe. From the moment they stepped on stage, their infectious blend of indie rock and
synth-pop had the audience dancing and singing along. Lead singer Thomas Mars’s captivating
vocals soared through the air, perfectly complemented by the band’s tight instrumentation. The
setlist was a journey through their discography, from hits like “1901” to newer tracks like
“Alpha Zulu,” showcasing their evolution while maintaining their signature sound. With dazzling
visuals and an undeniable connection to the crowd, Phoenix delivered an unforgettable night of
music and euphoria.

Beck’s set was a mesmerizing journey through his eclectic musical universe. From the moment
he stepped on stage, the audience was captivated by his charismatic presence and undeniable
talent. The performance seamlessly blended genres, spanning from his signature alt-rock hits to
soulful ballads and experimental electronic sounds.

Beck effortlessly engaged the crowd with his dynamic stage presence. The 20-song setlist was a
carefully curated mix of old and new, pleasing both long-time fans and newcomers. Beck
started strong with “Devil’s Haircut;” other hits like “Loser” and “The New Pollution” drew
raucous cheers from the crowd. He also debuted the live performance of songs like “Girl” and
“Paper Tiger.” The crowd’s cacophony exploded when, for the first song of the encore, Phoenix
joined Beck on stage for their hit single, “Odyssey.” To cap off a perfect night, Beck closed the
show with, IMO, one of his best songs, “Where It’s At.”

The Summer Odyssey Tour is a must for any music lover and should not be missed!
