The Matt Sorum-led Kings of Chaos brought big Rock N’ Roll to the Fillmore in San Francisco last night, July 29th. The band performed as the headlining part of a benefit event for Ric O’Barry’s Dolphin Project, which was preceded by a silent auction of music memorabilia.

Kings of Chaos is a super group, with a core lineup of Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver alumni (Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan, and Gilby Clarke) and an ever-revolving exterior lineup of Rock royalty. Past members include Slash, Sebastian Bach, Joe Elliott, Myles Kennedy, Nuno Bettencourt, Steve Stevens, Billy Gibbons, Glenn Hughes and Steven Tyler.

Last night’s lineup: Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan, Gilby Clarke, Slash (all of Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver), Billy Duffy (the Cult), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake/Dio), Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge/Slash), and Sammy Hagar.

The band soared through tracks of each of their respective groups through the night, as well as treating fans to some Zeppelin and Hendrix. Hearing the old Guns N’ Roses tunes performed by the proper people was a treat. Photos below.
